Truce-Tournament-1914

A miracle happened at the front on Christmas Eve 1914 in Ypres / Belgium.

100 years ago the world went to war. After months of heavy fighting and thousands of dead, a miracle happened at the front on Christmas Eve in Ypres / Belgium. British, German, French and Belgian soldiers decided to stop fighting. For two days the “Truce” brought soldiers from different countries together as friends. They were burying the dead in no-man’s land. They were singing Christmas carols and exchanged gifts between each other. English and German soldiers even organized football games. A great little peace happened in these days of the Great War.
